Abstracts and Proceedings
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Reports of new work in any of the topics covered by this Conference are invited for either oral or poster presentation. Authors are requested to indicate their preference. Submissions not accepted for oral presentation will be considered for acceptance as posters.
The instructions for abstract submission are identical for oral and poster papers. Please use the downloadable Abstract Submission Form, rename it as “abstract_name.doc” (name = presenting author name, eg. abstract_einstein.doc) and follow the instructions given below.
Abstracts will be reviewed and authors will be informed of provisional acceptance or rejection of the contribution, as oral or poster presentation
by
January 27, 2012. Abstracts submitted after January 12, 2012, will be considered only for poster presentations. Acceptance of the contribution will be confirmed provided that the Congress Registration Fee is paid, at least
for one of the authors.
Please, note that there is a limit of ONE contribution
per each registered participant
Lower rate of early registration payment applies only until February 10, 2012. Abstracts received after January 30, 2012, will be considered as late abstracts and their acceptance will depend on available logistic.
Guidelines for submitting an abstract for oral or poster presentation
You are asked to follow these guidelines when submitting an abstract for oral or poster presentation using the template provided:
Abstracts must be made in the Microsoft Word file using the downloadable Abstract Submission Form.
- The abstract should be 1 page long (maximum) in the A5 standard format, portrait layout, top margin 1.5cm, bottom margin 2.5cm, left and right margins 2.5cm.
- Please use Times New Roman or Times Roman font. The title font size is 12 points, bold, centered and two lines maximum. After the title leave a blank line, 12 points size.
- The authors list is 9 points font size, bold, centered and the presenting author underlined. Leave a blank line, 12 points font size, separating the authors from the affiliations.
- Affiliations list is 9 point font size, italic and centered. A full postal address (including, if available, the e-mail) should be given at least for the presenting author.
- A blank line, 12 points font size, separates the affiliations list from the main text. The main text is written in 9 points font size, one-column format. Exactly 12 pts spacing must be used throughout the abstract.
- The text should describe in a clear and concise way the work to be presented. References are indicated in the text by Arabic numbers between square brackets [1] and should be listed at the end of the text using standard Science Citation Index format.
- Please indicate whether you are submitting an oral or a poster presentation
Submit the Microsoft Word file containing the abstract as an attachment to the e-mail address abs.scte2012@itn.pt, with Subject SCTE2012, before January 12, 2012.
Abstracts submitted after January 12, 2012, will be considered only for poster presentations.
PROCEEDINGS
The proceedings of the SCTE2012 will be published in a special issue of SOLID STATE PHENOMENA and one copy will be send to all participants as part of the registration fee. The manuscript submission deadline is April 20, 2012. To ensure prompt publication of the proceedings, please submit your manuscript in time and follow the instructions below(new). All papers will be peer-review. Please, note that there is a limit of ONE paper published in the conference proceedings per each conference participant. Unless one of the authors attends SCTE2012 the paper will not be included in the proceedings

Manuscript Instructions
The instructions for manuscript submission are identical for Poster, Oral, Keynote and Plenary papers, just changing the page limits. Please use the downloadable Manuscript Submission Form, rename it as “manuscript_name.doc” (name = presenting author name, eg. manuscript_einstein.doc) and follow the instructions given below.
- Manuscripts must be written in English and made in the Microsoft Word file using the downloadable Manuscript Submission Form. Only the fonts Times Roman (Times New Roman) and Helvetica (Arial) can be used.
- Title, authors list, affiliations and keywords fonts should be Helvetica (Arial), for the rest of the manuscript, please use Times Roman (Times New Roman) 12.
- The title font should be 14 points size, bold, centered and two lines maximum.
- The authors list is 14 points size and centered.
- Affiliations list is 11 point font size and centered. Email addresses should also be given here.
- Keyword list is 11 point font size. - The rest of the manuscript is Times Roman (Times New Roman), 12 points font size.
- Detailed instructions on all aspects concerning the manuscript preparation can be found in the Manuscript Submission Form.

manuscripts in Solid State Phenomena on the

Manuscripts have to be submitted after March 20 and before April 20, 2012.

The editing period for the reviewers will be from April 20 to May 15 2012. And the final revision period for the authors from May 15 to June 30 2012.
